How to Update GoDaddy Nameservers + Hostnames

Hey there! You’re just a few steps away from getting your site live with Studio 1108. 🙌
To make sure your domain connects properly to our server, you’ll need to update both your hostnames and nameservers in your GoDaddy account.

Don’t worry — it’s pretty straightforward.

🛠 What You’ll Need:

• Access to your GoDaddy account (https://godaddy.com)

• Your domain name (e.g., yourbrand.com)

• The following nameservers and IP addresses provided by Studio 1108:

✉️ Nameservers

• ns1.studio1108.com

• ns2.studio1108.com

🌍 Hostnames (with IPs)

• ns1 → 50.6.202.233

• ns2 → 50.6.202.233

✏️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Log In

Go to https://godaddy.com and log in.

Step 2: Access Domain Settings

1. Click on “My Products.”

2. Find your domain name and click “DNS.”

Step 3: Add Hostnames 

Before you switch nameservers, you need to register your hostnames:

1. Scroll to “Domain” or “Hostnames” (location may vary).

2. Click “Add” or “Manage” Hostnames.

3. Add the following:

   • Hostname: ns1
     IP Address: 50.6.202.233

   • Hostname: ns2
     IP Address: 50.6.202.233

4. Save the changes.

💡 These are often referred to as glue records. You’re telling the domain where its own nameservers live.

Step 4: Update Nameservers

1. Go back to the Nameservers section.

2. Click “Change”.

3. Select “Enter my own nameservers (advanced)”.

4. Enter:

   • ns1.studio1108.com

   • ns2.studio1108.com

5. Click “Save” and confirm.

✅ You’re Done!

It can take up to 24–48 hours for everything to update across the internet. During that time, your site might flicker in and out — totally normal!

🧠 Important Notes:

• Don’t delete your domain — you’re just changing where it points.

• Let us know if you’re using email tied to this domain — changes may affect email if not configured properly.
