How to Update GoDaddy Nameservers + Hostnames
Hey there! You’re just a few steps away from getting your site live with Studio 1108. 🙌
To make sure your domain connects properly to our server, you’ll need to update both your hostnames and nameservers in your GoDaddy account.
Don’t worry — it’s pretty straightforward.
🛠 What You’ll Need:
-
Access to your GoDaddy account (https://godaddy.com)
-
Your domain name (e.g., yourbrand.com)
-
The following nameservers and IP addresses provided by Studio 1108:
✉️ Nameservers
-
ns1.studio1108.com
-
ns2.studio1108.com
🌍 Hostnames (with IPs)
-
ns1
→50.6.202.233
-
ns2
→50.6.202.233
✏️ Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log In
Go to https://godaddy.com and log in.
Step 2: Access Domain Settings
-
Click on “My Products.”
-
Find your domain name and click “DNS.”
Step 3: Add Hostnames
Before you switch nameservers, you need to register your hostnames:
-
Scroll to “Domain” or “Hostnames” (location may vary).
-
Click “Add” or “Manage” Hostnames.
-
Add the following:
-
Hostname:
ns1
IP Address:50.6.202.233
-
Hostname:
ns2
IP Address:50.6.202.233
-
-
Save the changes.
💡 These are often referred to as glue records. You’re telling the domain where its own nameservers live.
Step 4: Update Nameservers
-
Go back to the Nameservers section.
-
Click “Change”.
-
Select “Enter my own nameservers (advanced)”.
-
Enter:
-
ns1.studio1108.com
-
ns2.studio1108.com
-
-
Click “Save” and confirm.
✅ You’re Done!
It can take up to 24–48 hours for everything to update across the internet. During that time, your site might flicker in and out — totally normal!
🧠 Important Notes:
